Wir über uns

It leaves a mark when you are born and raised in the Black Forest, like us – Klaus Günter and Jörg Finkbeiner. You are not only born with respect for nature but also learn that life is about reliability and honesty. A word counts. An encounter at eye level. Maintaining a pleasant down-to-earth attitude.

Equally solid are our trainings as carpenters and joiners, which have shaped not only our expertise but also our passion for wood and other renewable resources. It was clear that this is what we wanted to work with.

In 2006, we then founded Partner and Partner Architecture. Now located in the heart of Berlin, we employ around 40 wonderful and diverse people. Even though not all of them come from the Black Forest, they carry it within them. This is because we are united by our shared values and our passion for wood. Overall, we are a close-knit community where everyone can contribute and is valued. This is also reflected in our open office, which facilitates the intensive exchange of information as well as casual small talk.

Mutual exchange is important to us because it embodies the essential idea behind Partner and Partner: We want to develop, plan, and realize our projects through a partnership process. Therefore, we involve not only employees but also clients, engineering firms, developers, researchers, and all other stakeholders on an equal footing in our projects.

Just as naturally, we are committed to being partners beyond our office: We are members of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), aktivplus e.V., as well as the Cradle to Cradle e.V
