Construction (transformation) masters.

This is how the German Sustainability Award Foundation describes the companies that have been nominated for the 17th German Sustainability Award 2025 and continues:

"With inspiring, functional design, sustainable architecture creates a positive vision of the future for urban spaces - and harmonizes climate-friendly use of resources, technological progress and individual living and usage requirements with design quality. And not just for new buildings, but also for the preservation and conversion of existing buildings. "Green" architecture and engineering planning answer the pressing questions of climate protection, climate adaptation and the circular economy. Transformation succeeds thanks to the planned reuse of building materials, recyclable concrete or wood, natural insulation materials such as hemp or straw, minimal operating energy and use of renewable energies as well as space-saving construction with minimal sealing. Exemplary lighthouse projects, outstanding district solutions and smart buildings with a net zero effect are driving the construction transition forward. The life cycle from raw material extraction to recycling of materials and the fulfillment of social demands for living and working in the future are important. The industry bears the creative responsibility for sustainable urban development with bold visions and transformative concepts. It creates a high quality of life and stay, multimodal mobility and sustainably organized infrastructure - and it enables a socially inclusive urban mix."
