We say goodbye to a valued colleague and a remarkable person.
- 16-10-2025Stefan Schmidt passed away suddenly and far too early on 16 October 2025.
He was 38 years old.
His unexpected death has left us shocked and in deep sorrow.
He was far more than a valued colleague. Trained as a carpenter, he was deeply passionate about timber construction and enriched our team for four years with great architectural dedication. He was always driven to understand things from the ground up and to find the best possible solution. His love of detail was evident in everything he did – from exposed timber beam ceilings to the fleur de sel on a chocolate cake.
Stefan was a person who immediately inspired trust through his calm and attentive manner.
He always had an open ear and a helping hand, shared travel stories, bicycle repair tips, and good food with us. He was reliable, conscientious, and always ready to take responsibility – for his work, for the team, and even for the broken coffee grinder.
At his desk, in his place, there is now a great emptiness.
Yet he has left traces – in our everyday work, in our collaboration, in our memories. We carry him in our hearts as a passionate person who was both calm and strong, and as a friend who is deeply missed.
His optimism and his profound appreciation for life can remain a powerful inspiration to us.
Our sincere condolences go out to his family, his partner, and all those close to him.
