Environment Week
- 04-06-2024The Woodscrapers - our high-rise buildings with wooden structures - are becoming more and more of a reality and we were able to show this at the Environment Week, which ended on Wednesday. We are all still inspired by the many impressions and conversations in the park of Bellevue Palace. A highlight of the event for us was of course the visit of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to our 1:1 model. We see this attention as a real appreciation of our efforts to build sustainably.
Our project would not be possible without the support and targeted funding of the German Federal Environmental Foundation. This is how innovations become possible! Many thanks therefore to the committed and great team at the German Federal Environmental Foundation and the Federal President's Office, who were not deterred by the logistical challenges. After all, we had to transport our seven-ton exhibit through the park to place it in front of Bellevue Palace. This "demonstrator" shows a corner of the Woodscraper building as an example and thus represents the project that we are allowed to realize together with GLS Bank, as the client in Wolfsburg. And what can I say: Many visitors were impressed by the exhibit - it was a piece of "construction revolution you could touch". Our thanks go in particular to Prof. Eike Roswag-Klinge, who made this exhibit possible with his team in the Natural Building Lab as part of our research project. Seeing the many players at the Environment Week and being able to experience the diversity of ideas and innovations gives us courage to continue resolutely pursuing our path to a future worth living. Because we are obviously not alone, but in very good company 😊
