Platforms for heavenly good rest

The “picnic blankets” are part of the “hiking heaven” concept of the municipality of Baiersbronn in the Black Forest.The platforms are located in exposed places along popular hiking routes and expand the idea of the classic hiking bench to include a lounger and seat that the hiker can use individually. The platforms redefine the location as minimalist, usable sculptures. The material deliberately refers to the location. It is part of the same and - through editing, joining and repositioning - ensures a transformation and engagement with the surroundings.
