25 Years Bürgerstadt
- 04-07-2025In light of demographic change, new urban neighborhoods and the redevelopment of existing neighborhoods must, more than ever, consider needs-based social services, health, and care. These are essential for ensuring that people can live in their own homes well into old age. At the same time, the needs of all residents are becoming more central to consideration, particularly in terms of social interaction and social participation. In this context, it is important to develop new forms of housing, such as multi-generational housing or assisted living communities, and to establish mutual services, including care. The event will present intelligent neighborhood solutions and discuss the political, social, and economic conditions under which such neighborhoods can be designed. It will also address how politicians, the housing industry, and care stakeholders must work better together to create age-appropriate housing and care-friendly neighborhoods.
